National Meteorological Service said that the rainy weather will lighten and clear up from the day of Eid al-Alha.
Met Office said the rainy weather experienced by the whole country is clearing up and by next Tuesday the country will experience good weather.
According to Met Office, from 10:00 a.m. on Sunday for the next 24 hours scattered rain with few heavy showers and thunderstorms will be experienced throughout the country. Surface winds will vary between south and southwest at 7 – 17 mph in the southern atolls while other regions will experience winds between 13 – 23 mph from southwest to west, Met Office said.
Gusts are expected to reach 45 mph and seas are expected to be rough in the central and northern atolls and moderate in the south, becoming rough during showers.
Met Office cautioned sea travelers to be careful and on alert during the next 24 hours.
