President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has decided to put surveillance and speed cameras on the Sinamale’ bridge during the first 30 days in office.
President Solih announced this in the report outlining the pledges to be carried out in the first 100 days of his presidency. The most vital actions to be taken for the safety and benefit of the people were prioritized, which included the cameras that would detect speed and other misdemeanor on the bridge.
Under the safety sector of the pledges, traffic police service development would also begin, along with a police reform program which would be carried out with the discussion and advice of the people.
President Solih has also decided to begin police patrol service at all times during the first seven days in office.
The government is also set to distribute 5000 helmets to ensure the safety of people riding motorbikes.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih included 161 pledges in 23 different sectors in the report outlining his pledges for the first 100 days.
