International Aid Campaign (IAC) has launched their “With Love” campaign to help the afflicted people of Gaza and Syria during this Ramadan.
The campaign “With Love”, launched on Thursday, aims to help the Muslim brethren afflicted in Syria and Gaza. Donations for the campaign will be accepted from April 11 to May 30.
IAC had previously held the “With Love” campaign to distribute food and medical supplies to the afflicted brothers and sisters of Gaza and Syria.
For this year’s Ramadan project, IAC has announced that Ramadan Food Packages will be provided to each household for the entire month of Ramadan.
The donations collected by IAC will be sent via IAC’s affiliated NGO established in Turkey.
“The people of Maldives had provided food packages for the people of Gaza and Syria last year as well. This year we are aiming to collect MVR 3 million worth of food to assist our afflicted brethren in Gaza and Syria”, IAC’s Vice Chairman Adam Naif said.
IAC had previously provided ten days’ worth of food items to 4710 households under their “With Love” project. They also provided 623 households with 50 liter water tanks and 268 households with led lights and batteries.
Furthermore, 66 goats were slaughtered and the meat was distributed among 2640 afflicted families. The organization also provided staples such as flour and rice to 516 families as charity.
