Tourism ministry initiates probe into JA Manafaru Resort’s decision to lay off a large number of its employees.
The memo signed and sent to employees by the resort’s General Manager Vlad Reyes stated that the decision to lay them off was due to financial troubles incited by reduced number of tourists visiting the resort this year.
The memo also noted that staff will be compensated accordingly and will receive severance packages in accordance with the law.
