The annual “VMedia Night” Corporation Edition kicked off on Monday at the Salt Cafe, on a night filled with an array of activities to promote its materials, as well as to commend its valuable contributors.
Monday night's event included the awarding of certificates to sponsors involved in VMedia productions during this year's month of Ramadan, in addition to massive prizes to participants who won in its Ramadan programmes.
This event also highlighted some of VMedia's greatest achievements this year - particularly the production of its first full-length feature film “Dhauvathu”, and its opportunity to host the “Ooredoo Mas Race” and the “Dhivehi Premier League”.
Along with this, VMedia has announced the unveiling of new content and productions during the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, VMedia's COO Mohamed Asif expressed his gratitude to everyone who had contributed to make VMedia's success possible, as well as to viewers, listeners, readers and sponsors for their unwavering support.
He revealed that plans are in place to further enrich VMedia's contents and bring a massive boost to its productions quality. This includes shifting their standard definition (SD) broadcasting to high definition (HD) quality, revamping its online news portal, and launching a new website.
This year's edition also saw the introduction of a special credit scheme facilitated to VMedia staff by its IT partner Click Computers, a potential agreement with Raa Maakurathu Sports Club for a special Eid event, in addition to the presentation of certificates to the lucky 4 staff members to attend the Umra pilgrimage in December this year.
