The 9th Four Seasons Surfing Champions Trophy has been slated for August 5.
The Four Seasons Surfing Champions Trophy is the worlds most luxurious annual surfing contest held by the Four Seasons Resort Maldives. The contest boasting surfing champions worldwide, will have six contenders this year.
Four Seasons Maldives said the contest held annually with surfing champions across the world garners the support of professional surfers and others alike. With the added bonus of being held at such an exotic location, along with the support of resort staff and others have made the contest unlike any other.
This years event will be contended by Australian surf legend Joel Parkinson, Hawaiian surfer Kai Lenny, Brazilian surfer Wiggolly Dantas, Australian surfer Matt Wilkinson and the defending champion, Australias Josh Kerr.
Furthermore, the resort informs that famous Maldivian surfer Mohamed Fayaz will also be competing in this years event. He had achieved great success in previous tournaments held in the country in the past.
While the tournament has three divisions, the winner will bag 25,000 US dollars.
The tournament is slated from August 5 to 12 and will be carried out at the surfing point near Kuda Hura Resort.
