Maldives Meteorological Service (Met Office) has forecasted rain throughout the country during the next three days.
Met Office said the country is facing the South West Monsoon and will experience showers and a few thunderstorms throughout, while showers may be heavy in parts of northern atolls.
Met Office reported that predicted weather from 10:00 AM on Saturday for the next 24 hours show surface winds will vary between southeast/southerly in southern atolls to south/southwesterly in central and northern atolls at 6 – 16 miles per hour, while winds are expected to gust 35 miles per hour during showers.
They stated that seas would be moderate and slight in southern-most atolls and become moderate during showers over the rest of the country.
Met Office also cautioned swell wave surges during high tides.
