Carpe Diem Beach Resort and Spa is set to be reopened by United States' Standard Hotels at the end of this year.
The resort developed in Raa Atoll Huruvalhi, boasts 115 rooms with private pools.
The resort was previously opened by Carpe Diem Maldives.
The resort will be renamed as The Standard Huruvalhi Maldives when it is reopened for the tourist season at the end of this year. This is the first resort opened by The Standard Hotels in Asia.
The resort will introduce many cultural events and include most of the features of the Standard Hotels. Different cuisines will also be served at the six restaurants in the resort. These include barbecues and other dishes made from organic produce grown in the island.
The Standard Spa also includes nine treatment rooms that offer popular treatments from across the world.
Guests can also indulge in diving experiences at nearby islands. These include guided snorkeling provided by the resort's dive centre.
