Football Association of Maldives (FAM) presented a commemorative shield to Ali Saleem for his work as a referee within FIFA.
The shield was presented to Saleem in a special event held at the FAM house on Thursday. The shield was awarded by the chairperson of the FAM normalization committee.
Saleem has now retired from his post as a FIFA referee after working 20 years in the field.
He retired after passing the age limit for a FIFA referee of 45 years, last year. He received the FIFA badge at the age of 25.
