Ministry of Education has signed an agreement with Swift Engineering to build ten new classrooms, an Audio-Visual room and a Staff Room in Madhrasathul Ifthithaah, Lh. Naifaru.
At the ceremony held at Velaanaage today to sign the agreement, Senior Policy Executive at the Ministry of Education Ibrahim Ismail signed the agreement on behalf of the Ministry while Managing Director Saudhulla Hilmee signed the agreement on behalf of Swift Engineering.
The three storey building is to be completed within one year. A total of 13.4 million Rufiyaa has been pledged to this project from the state budget.
The Ministry of Education expects the building to be completed by October 2017 and in use by the start of the 2018 academic year.
Speaking at the signing ceremony Member of Parliament for Naifaru constituency Ahmed Shiyam said that the new building will solve difficulties the school has been facing due to lack of space.
Madhrasathul Ifthithaah is one of the oldest schools in the country and the pioneer of systemized education outside capital Malé.
