The resort established in Gaaf Alif Atoll’s Kooddoo is ready to open soon.
This is the first time a resort is being opened in an island that has an airport.
French hotel chain Mercure Hotels will operate the 68-villa resort, Mercure Maldives Kooddoo, which has 43 over-water villas.
Although it is said that the resort will open early this year, the opening date has not been announced yet.
While a resort is being opened in Kooddoo, it is noteworthy that the island has the largest government-run fish canning factory.
