Tarring of Dh. Kudahuvadhoo's domestic airport has begun.
Government in 2013 awarded Reollo Investment the project to build Kudahuvadhoo airport with a 1,800-meter runway.
Mohamed Zameer Ismail, President of Kudahuvadhoo Council, quoted the company as saying that they are tarring the runway at a fast pace, and training the new airport employees.
Ismail said that he was not sure when the project will be completed, but guessed that the airport will be opened soon.
Around 62 hectares of land was reclaimed in Kudahuvadhoo for the USD 20 million project.
While construction began in 2014, the airport’s office buildings, terminal, and restaurant have now been built.
