An elderly man has died of swine flu increasing the total number of death to six.
The media official of Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) said the victim was an 86-year-old who died on Thursday, but they did not report him because his test result was not available at the time.
The last victim was a 29-year-old pregnant woman who died on Sunday during treatment at IGMH.
The hospital said another woman who underwent an emergency C-section a week and a half ago due to the flu is now in stable condition, along with her child.
Meanwhile, Civil Service Commission has asked pregnant employees, who were granted paid leave due to the swine flu outbreak, to return to work on Sunday.
As the epidemic continues, President has decided to close schools for the next three days, after reopening them to extremely poor attendance on Sunday due to parents’ skepticism of the health situation.
HPA’s latest statistics on Sunday revealed that the number of people tested positive for the flu has increased to 199, out of 546 people tested since January.
