Villa Air said Flyme will resume scheduled flights to Addu City and Fuvahmulah on June 15.
Speaking to VNews, Managing Director of Villa Air Abdulla Nashid said Flyme flights will resume to Addu and Fuvahmulah as before, starting from June 15.
Due to financial difficulties, the company halted their flights to Addu, Fuvahmulah, GDh. Kaadehdhoo, and GA. Kooddoo in 2015.
Nashid said that they currently have three planes in their fleet, hence flights can resume without any difficulties.
He said a 48-passenger airplane has been added to their fleet. He noted that the company aimed to provide affordable services according to customers’ inclination.
“Many customers requested us to resume the service when we halted flights. We are trying our best to provide easy and affordable services to customers," he said.
Nashid said flights will resume at the same price as before. However, a promotional fair of MVR 888 will be available for passengers travelling to Addu and Fuvahmulah, while the other fair will be at MVR 999. Nashid said all prices will be announced within the coming week.
Presently, the only flights travelling to Addu and Fuvahmulah are operated by the national airline, Maldivian.
