Tree Top Hospital, Hulhumale’s highly-anticipated tertiary hospital, is set to open within two months, says Tree Top Investments.
The hospital was initially set to open in mid-2017.
Tree Top Hospital’s CEO, Grant Muddle, said they are currently in the process of recruiting employees and, installing and testing machines, which he said would be complete within two months.
He said that the hospital would provide world-class services and cater to patients with kidney problems, cancer, heart problems, ear and eye problems. He said it would also provide surgical, rehabilitation, gynecological and pediatric services.
Muddle further said discussions are underway with Aasandha and other health insurance providers regarding coverage of services provided Tree Top Hospital.
According to Tree Top Investments, the 210-bed hospital will be one of the best hospitals in Asia.
About MVR 1.3 billion is being spent on the project. The hospital, which consists of two buildings, was constructed by Turkish firm Turmaks. The main building covers 20,000 square kilometers and has six storeys. The second building, which is half the size, has eight storeys and houses stand-by generators, restaurants and accommodation spaces.
