Maldives Meteorological Service (Met office) has predicted rain throughout Maldives in the next 24 hours, while the northern and centrals atolls will experience thunder and heavy rain.
Met Office said from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday to 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, the country will experience winds heading west to south-west at 5 – 15 mph, with gusts reaching 45 mph.
Both Addu City and Fuvahmulah suffered floods due the current rainy weather. VNews has learned that six houses in Addu City suffered flooding which damaged property.
Met Office also said the seas are expects to be rough during gusts, but moderate overall.
