The ‘Skill Holiday’ program organized by Skill Training Centre, targeted for the second term school holidays, was a huge success.
The ‘Skill Holiday’ program was carried out from November 24, 2017 till January 4, 2018. Similar to previous years, the Centre held 10 programs aimed at developing skills of students in different age groups.
Speaking to VNews, Founder of Skill Training Centre Dhimna Faakir said the programs were carried out as 5-day, 7-day and one month programs. She said the programs were organized in this manner upon the parent’s request, as many would be travelling to islands and abroad during schools holidays.
Dhimna said the program included social skills, creative arts, reading and writing skills, and time management skills. The students were given certificates upon completing the program.
The programs were taught by skill trainers of Skill Training Centre.
The Centre, which has earned the trust of parents, holds many such programs during the schools holidays each year, while 176 students participated in the event this year.
Skill Training Centre said classes will begin on January 14, including ‘Kiyamaa Liyamaa’ program, Skill Phonic Program, and Skill Training Program.
