The number of AC ferries, ferrying between Male’ and Hulhumale’, have been increased by two.
Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) said they have brought two more AC ferries to travel between Male’ and Hulhumale’.
MTCC said the addition will ensure that ferries will leave each 20 minutes rather than in half an hour.
While the change was brought on April 20, MTCC said the two ferries were added due to the demand of passengers.
According to MTCC, there are five premium link ferries travelling between Male’ and Hulhumale’ currently. The 20-minute ride costs MVR 10 per person.
MTCC also said extra ferries would be used at peak times during Ramadhan. Hence, ferries would be added for those going to schools and offices and when they return, MTCC said.
